For a standard 8'x10' size, place the front legs of the furniture on the rug with the back legs off to create a good sense of proportion. \u003C/span>\r\n\r\n\u003Cspan style=\"font-family: opensans-regular; font-size: 14pt;\">If you have a \u003Cem>\u003Cstrong>large living room\u003C/strong>\u003C/em> with furniture in the center, the rug should be large enough so the furniture fits without looking crowded. When covering the whole room, choose a rug that's two feet shorter than the shortest wall. \u003Cem>\u003Cstrong>You'll also want to keep these tips in mind:\u003C/strong>\u003C/em>\u003C/span>\r\n\u003Cul>\r\n \t\u003Cli>\u003Cspan style=\"font-family: opensans-regular;
